Trailer Trash! – The Shallows

Shark films have become almost a mini-industry in Hollywood these days, what with the continual Sharknado and MegaShark and Sharks VS… films plumbing the depths of our fascination with the ocean-going creatures. Although the majority of shark-related films are your typical D-movie shitfests, every so often a big-budget feature comes along and catches our eye – and this year, that film is The Shallows. Watching Blake Lively try and save herself from a giant man-eater whilst surfing a beautific paradise looks like some skin-crawling creature thrills galore, an elegant premise copped off with what look like pretty decent visual effects (unless they’ve trained an actual shark…).
