Perhaps the most effective trailer to drop this year (so far) was this one for the upcoming adaption of Stephen King’s IT, formerly a novel, then a television miniseries, and now a Stranger Things-esque youthful take on the iconic Pennywise and the kids he torments in Derry, Maine. Suffice to say: this looks terrifying and I’ll be front row on opening night.
“Some people say I like films. Those people are wrong. I *love* films.” – Me. I said this.
Rodney has been writing about films for well over two decades, appreciates a good wine, the love of his wife and kids, and the affection of his dog and cats. He has a fondness of cheesy 90’s action and classic Hollywood, hates that physical media is disappearing, and wishes somebody would make a high-budget series of The Neverending Story.
I loved it. Really, really loved it. I'm a huge fan of the novel which should make me guarded about the upcoming film adaptation but I can't hide my excitement. It's such a good story and it looks like they've captured it brilliantly… especially Pennywise.
It's the classic story with a modern eye. I cannot wait.
