Trailer Trash! – Solo: A Star Wars Story (Full Trailer #1)
After months of will-they-or-won’t-they, Disney finally dropped a full trailer for this year’s Anthology film, Solo: A Star Wars Story. Without giving much away, I am now officially hyped for this film.
“Some people say I like films. Those people are wrong. I *love* films.” – Me. I said this.
Rodney has been writing about films for well over two decades, appreciates a good wine, the love of his wife and kids, and the affection of his dog and cats. He has a fondness of cheesy 90’s action and classic Hollywood, hates that physical media is disappearing, and wishes somebody would make a high-budget series of The Neverending Story.

With no disrespect to Brikhaus- or others but what is it with the voice?!? A lot of people on the inter webs have been critical of his voice but I thought it sounded a totally plausible young Solo! In fact, that was what struck me about the teaser, and the trailer. Yes, it’s not as deep as Ford but imo they’ve got his phrasing and delivery perfectly!
I agree – his voice isn’t the buy-or-sell issue it is for others for me at least. If that’s all the internet is worried about I fear another Last Jedi-sized backlash coming from butthurt fanboys.
I realize this is totally nitpicking, and not a condemnation of the film, but Alden Ehrenreich’s voice is way too high-pitched to be believable as a younger Harrison Ford. I guess we’ll see how it turns out.
I think the thing to remember is that in this film Han is supposed to be what, mid-20’s? maybe slightly earlier? I’m not that fussed if he doesn’t sound like Harrison Ford so long as they get the characterisation right.
