Vale – Roger Lloyd-Pack
British actor Roger Lloyd-Pack has passed away.
Mr Lloyd-Pack was most famous for his portrayal of Trigger in the television series Only Fools And Horses, and more recently as the sexually depraved Owen Newitt in Dawn French’s Vicar of Dibley. During his television career, Mr Lloyd-Pack appeared in virtually every British series produced, including The Bill, Doctor Who, Dalziel & Pascoe, Agatha Christie’s Poirot, The Professionals, and Inspector Morse (among many, many others). His film credits include Vanity Fair (2004), Harry Potter & The Goblet Of Fire (as Barty Crouch Snr, father of Doctor Who’s David Tennant as the vile Barty Crouch Jr), Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, and The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover.
Mr Lloyd-Pack had been battling pancreatic cancer in recent years, and passed away on January 15th, aged 69.
Remembered for his TV more than anything. I've loved his performances in Only Fools and Horses and The Vicar of Dibley.
Dibley is the one I'll most remember him for. He was a filthy bastard in that show, utterly hilarious.
