Road To The Oscars: The 73rd Golden Globe Nominations
This morning (Australian time) the Hollywood Foreign Press Association released their nominations for the annual Golden Globes, of which this year’s crop of film and television awards will be held on January 10th, 2016 (only a few short weeks, really!). The Golden Globes nominations represents the “official” commencement of Hollywood’s Awards Season, which will culminate in the Academy Awards at the end of February. To see which films made the cut for the Globes this year, hit the jump!
I love how Mad Max is doing in the awards circles but the comedies and musicals category is just ridiculous now and I remember it being pretty stupid last year.
I don't see why they need to break up the film category into two such arbitrary labels. Why not just do what the Academy does and expand a single movie category with more possible slots for nominations.
Grrrr don't get me started….
OK, so here's how it goes:
DiCaprio – best actor
Mad Max – best film
George Miller – best director
Anything else, and we riot.
Also, how is "The Martian" a comedy?
Exactly: The Martian is not a comedy. I agree with your choices.
