Nicely put, Rodney. I must say that, oddly enough, I do agree for once with Al–your writing is so much more palatable than the drivel on his page. Speaking of the Grindhouse features, I'll be doing a WTF!? on another of the series: Run, Bitch, Run. I kid you not.

Hellz yeah. What a crazy fun over the top balls to the wall to the max rock and roll up to 11 review. (And the movie was pretty decent as well.)

Seriously, i loved this movie for all the reason you stated so much more eloquentlier than me here. Total agreement with you on this one, man.

Underutilized is the word. I thought that the plot regarding paranoid-militia-morons would be really worth analyzing in today's world.

In reply to Fitz. True, Fitz, Don Johnson's character didn't get as much screen time as he deserved - more's the pity, because I thought that side of the storyline was largely underutilized.

A lot of fun, certainly anyone expecting a coherent storyline should have figured out what they were paying to see. I was hoping Don Johnson would get a little more screentime though.

In reply to Dan. I've been finding some good deals on Amazon lately, especially with the US dollar sliding through the basement. Maybe see what deal they have (I think Machete was region free last time I looked) and perhaps scam it from over there. In any case, if you enjoyed the Grindhouse films, you'll love Machete. Dude, have you got that BluRay player yet?

Oh, great review Rodney. This is on my to-watch list and it has just been pushed up the list a bit. Just waiting for the price of the UK DVD to edge into bargain territory and then I'm there!
