I agree, the Notting Hill goggles moment always makes me chuckle!

I still remember the chill I had when I head that Vangelis score blasting out of the speakers when I saw Chariots Of Fire. I think if you listed the top 5 movie themes based on sheer iconic-ness, that tune would be somewhere in there, alongside Star Wars and Lawrence of Arabia.

I don't mind the lengthy Hobbits – have you seen the Unexpected Journey Extended Blu? If you watch the (9 hours) special features, then rewatch the films, you will have a larger appreciation of what Jackson and his team accomplished. I didn't think I would, but I did!

High Fidelity – I'm on board with that if only because it celebrates the need to list things..hence why my site is what it is! But the added element of great music and a bit of film in there makes it a really great, re-watchable film.

Hey, the length of time The Hobbit movies take to watch, I wouldn't be surprised if I bid a farewell during one of them! I'm being unkind though…I do enjoy them.
