Exactly! A solid if entirely diffident film that checks the list of Marvel head-nods and fanboy expectations, without going big and bold like I had hoped.

That’s an excellent assessment. Can’t blame them too much on this one after the disastrous Garfield movies and Raimi’s S3 before that. They wanted to simply make it a blast to watch and they did.
