Bannister worked primarily on stage and television, featuring in serials as diverse as <em>The Avengers<\/em>,<em> Z Cars<\/em>, and <em>The Saint<\/em>. His stage work saw him appear in a number of productions, including <em>Billy Liar<\/em> and <em>Move Over, Mrs Markham<\/em>.
