She appeared in Hitchcock&#8217;s <em>Frenzy<\/em>, as well as <em>The Vault of Horror<\/em> in 1973. Along with film and stage work, Massey appeared in numerous television roles, including <em>The Darling Buds of May, The Robinsons<\/em>, dramatic telemovies such as <em>The Cherry Orchard<\/em> and <em>Anna Karenina<\/em>, and crime dramas like <em>Inspector Morse, Midsomer Murders<\/em>, and <em>Poirot<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ms Massey was awarded a British Academy TV Award for Best Actress for her work on <em>Hotel du Lac<\/em>, and appeared with Christian Bale in his 2004 film <em>The Machinist<\/em>.
